This website was created by a community of British Columbia artists who know that even the efforts of a small group can make a big difference in this world! Our mission is to raise funds and awareness for the Ancient Forest Alliance, to help in the preservation of BC's ancient trees and endangered old-growth forests that are also home to many species of plants, insects and animals. The Ancient Forest Alliance (AFA) is a registered non-profit society dedicated to protecting BC’s remarkable and endangered old-growth forests while ensuring a sustainable, second-growth forest industry. The AFA has grown rapidly since their founding in 2010, reaching international audiences through their hard-hitting advocacy and awareness-raising campaigns. They specialize in public education and engagement, building alliances with key allies such as businesses, unions, faith-based organizations and First Nations, research, and lobbying governments to achieve policy change for BC’s ancient forests. "We are all merely tenants on this earth, hoping to leave it better than we found it. The whole idea that we can own the land is ludicrous, one of those white European ideas that spread like a virus to feed the greed that humans seem to all have. These great trees will take lifetimes to replace and in this world we seem to revere technology far more than nature.
